The Mount Diablo Surveyors Historical Society is dedicated to preserve the history of the land surveying profession, and “Following the Footsteps of the Original Surveyor”. This includes displaying and educating younger surveyors and the public about the equipment used in early surveys, with a timeline and the technological development of equipment used today.
Members get to bring their knowledge to the association, and enable those with an interest in our history to better understand the challenges of early surveys, without today’s equipment and electronic advances.
